There's a regular PS2 case inside of that box.
It's a "Phoenix Games" game as well so quality is as expected.
Best part about the giant cardboard box? The screenshots on the back of it are quite possibly some of the worst quality ever printed on a game case.

I want to display an under-rated terrible game. This garbage is pure shovelware and introduced me to the idea that not all video games were good very early on. This, along with Mario Land and Tetris, were the three first real (non educational) video games I ever got. 2 good and 1 awful.
This game isn't just bad, though, everything about it is actively awful on every level. This is not a port of the NES game, but an even worse game based on it. You have to stoop to LCD shit to possibly top this, and I don't consider those real video games.

It's a point and click adventure but the graphics are messy enough that you usually can't even see on screen an item you're looking for. You find scissors behind a trash can in an alley for example, that kind of thing. So really it means going and clicking on every inch of the area and every time you search and don't find anything the game stutters and loads one of two voice clips of her saying "I can't do that!" Over and over and over. The puzzles are just as badly designed and the final kicker is that a single save file for the game requires an entire empty memory card.

The movie is great though.

I never played Gun Survivor, but I heard it was suppose to be a light gun game. Would have definitely been a better game with the light gun and it could have rivaled House Of The Dead. It's a shame this never came into existence all because of some damn school shooting that took place in 1999. But since I never played it, it doesn't get my vote and I would rather play it the way it was meant to be played(with a light gun). But if it can be played with a light gun, then I don't think it's as bad as some people made it out to be.

I now realize that Bart's Nightmare was made by the late ultra weird yet talented dev Bill Williams. You can see shades of Alley Cat (divided into minigames) and bizarro shit like Mind Walker and Necromancer in there in how baroque the minigames were, along with his odd ass sound design. Game's is almost, and certain pretty strong visually and aurally. The hub world has a ton of imagination and funky mechanics. Game still sucks overall, though. Unfair and opaque most of the time, and it's appalling that it was even sold to people with that Maggie shit.
