Does anyone here have a PS2?

I'll take that as a no?

Nah. I just emulate all my PS2 games. I don't like to keep a lot of stuff around my place and if I'm not going to use it, then I'll just save me the cash. I'm not into collecting, just playing the games.

Ya, last purchase: Smuglers Run 2.
Last great game I played: Flatout 2.

Nope. Nobody here has the most popular gaming system ever made. NONE. Not a one.

My brother dropped ours fucking seven feet down so I've been stuck with a PS2 slim since 2006

No. Everyone here is too newfag to have a PS2.

I've still got it and my ps3, which was the last console I ever bought.

Yeah. I digged early this year to play some of my childhood games, but now I'm just playing the Dreamcast via emulation

Mine has been sketchy lately, not reading certain discs and the controller losing connection at random times. Not looking forward to having to replace it with the state of the current market, I just want to enjoy some Tenkaichi 3.

I have 3 and they're all fucked. I can still play PS1 and PS2 games but it's janky as shit. 1 only plays PS1 games. One doesn't read PS1 memory cards. One doesn't even turn on. The two that work are both starting to have issues reading PS1 games. It feels like a ticking time bomb.

Fat PS2's, or Slim? I've had 2 fat models go bad around the same time years ago.

>> No.7028409

>>7026640
I've had 3. My childhood one broke and no one managed to fix it. Then I bought another one who would scratch discs and I sent this one back. And last, I got one that works... barely, NTSC-US games work fine while PAL games eventually just stop working on it. Can't understand why that happens though. All of them were slim models and played pirated games

>> No.7028447

I've noticed that neither my slim or my refurb fat have had any issues. The commonality is that I've never played GTA or either of them.

In one of the most ugly, lag-ridden forms possible. Congratulations on saving $20-$60 for a PS2 + HDD though

Yeah. I've had the same PS2 slim for 11 years. Still works perfectly, even with me playing on it so frequently these past 11 years.

You wouldn't know because you never gave it a chance. And that's fine, you don't have to. But you should go back to what you do like and stop speaking on things you know nothing about.

i regret not getting a 30000 after seeing the games with i.LINK multiplayer

I have the original fat model from the first batch of european (PAL) in mint condition (never played much on it). The only thing that's deteriorated a bit is that the DVD slide somehow opens more slow than it used to somehow..

I've never had any issues with it. I run them at 60 fps constantly and at three times the native resolution and AA. There may be a few graphical glitches here and there, but it's good enough for me. I'm not an enthusiast, just someone who enjoys casually playing them.

it's fun when it works. tony hawk's underground is a bitch for some reason, when the other games on the same engine are fine.
