I love my mini chocolate collection.
Thinking about adding the TurboGraphix-16 mini and the C64 mini. Thoughts?

I loaded my SNES mini full of SNES/GBA/GB roms and play it pretty frequently.

If an N64 mini came out I would consider it, but I doubt one will anytime soon since the SOC they used for the NES/SNES isn't powerful enough to reliably emulate N64 games.

>> No.7023516

>>7023419
Uh, but a mister doesn't have a cool shelf view? And it doesn't look like a little baby console, so how is he supposed to pose for pictures with it and post them on reddit for instant recognition?

You're never going to get internet points with your icky development board based emulation box, what's important is giving Sega or Nintendo money for 30 year old ROMs when the current rights holders likely had nothing to do with the development of the titles.

Is pointless to buy. There's no point in buying that when I have my PC that handles emulation very well. Owning the original consoles and the mini consoles are just a bonus in my collection of gaming consoles and games.

>>7023516
>Uh, but a mister doesn't have a cool shelf view?
Exactly. These mini consoles look amazing on my shelf. The Mister just looks like some type of HDMI channel switcher box(which I already have). No point in owning one when my PC already does emulation.

I'm afraid re-releases of old systems are the only hope of non-piratefags. 99% of the old hardware is going to corrode away to nothing because people don't know how or aren't willing to properly restore old electronics. The capacitors will leak and corrode away all of the electronics to nothing.

All my real consoles look like shit on my shelf. Why? Because they take up space they don't need to, I'm not looking for a photo-op.

>No point in owning one when my PC already does emulation.
Then why didn't you just buy some mini models of retro consoles and then plug your PC into your TV instead? You probably would've saved a lot of money.

My real consoles sit alongside my mini-consoles.

>Then why didn't you just buy some mini models of retro consoles and then plug your PC into your TV instead? You probably would've saved a lot of money.
They don't have mini models for all the consoles I own. But these mini consoles will do. Plus I love the UI used in these mini consoles and how I can customize the PS1 mini's UI to my liking. Also I can afford both my old consoles and my mini consoles, plus the toy capsule/keychain/card holder/candy container versions of these consoles.

If you have a computer those things are a complete waste of time. The Wii's emulators aren't that great, it's alright as a stop gap measure, and it's probably still better than the official emulation, but the wii is inherently a very laggy console.

That wall of PAL Mega Drive games makes me think you probably don't have a properly modded Mega Drive. Most people don't bother installing a DFO, which means you're so dumb you can't even tell the difference between a console outputting a blatantly wrong clock speed.

The catalog of the japanese ps1 is less shitty and uses NTSC roms, the japanese mega drive came with six button controllers and the european snes looks way better, not to mention the $350 or so you wasted on all that shit could have been spent on a unpatched switch instead.

check your local prices, for me an i5 dell optiplex is usually cheaper than a 8gb raspberry pi 4 kit
you can even add a low profile GPU if you want upscaled GameCube emulation or ps2, don't think a pi will pull off that anytime soon
