What's the best controller for pc emulation? I'm currently using an Xbox 360 controller but the d-pad is absoloute trash. Squishy feedback and there's too much travel before the input is recognized. I mainly emulate NES and SNES games.

Which is better? The 8Bitdo M30 or the Retro-Bit Saturn controller clone? I wanna get a Sega style controller for emulating those systems. I hear the Retro-Bit Saturn controller feels very faithful to the original but I also use an 8Bitdo SN30Pro+ for all my other PC game needs and I love it.

I'm thinking about picking up one of these controllers, because they're pretty cheap and I'd like to give a microswitch joystick a try without spending 50 bucks on a neo geo CD pad.

I have one and like it but you get what you pay for. There's a rubber textured grip on the back and it deteriorates quickly. I do like the clicky stick though, even more than the one on the official neo geo cd controller because it has less travel distance between the switches. Also what's super nice about it are the face buttons are micro switched too, they don't use rubber domes. They feel almost exactly like mouse click/ Unfortunately the shoulder buttons are kind of shit though

Yes, that is because you are based. Hori fighting pads are great it you like big, firm dpads. Sometimes when I recommend this controller people say "not sure if it's for me because I don't play fighting games." To be clear, the point of a fighting game pad is not only to be super accurate, but also to allow you to get your inputs in FAST. The pokken controller's buttons spring up with so much force that you could launch a peanut across the room (gamers need to be able to do this). If you don't want a clicky dpad or a saturn style pad get a hori fighting pad, they are great for all kinds of games, not just fighters

Just get a classic controller pro. The D-pad is just the wiimote one but sized up so it's sensible to use, the buttons have a nice positive feedback, and the triggers are light and feel good. My only complaint is that sometimes the analog sticks get in the way slightly, but I bet you could just pop open the controller and take them off if it bothers you.
