Noir kino until the blatantly rushed final chapter
>The gang gets BTFO by Jean Bison whom everyone assumed to be a moron and you lose everything you worked for, immediately upping the tension to 11
>He sells every single one of the Clockwerk parts to the mysterious final member/leader of the Klaww Gang who blatantly wants to reassemble Clockwerk, echoing the first game but not ripping it off
>err
>Neyla suddenly betrays Arpeggio?? and lets Clockwerk vore her so she uhh becomes Fem-Clockwerk?? Except he has a cockney accent because he ate Neyla??

The last zone is horribly-designed and boring. The missions are crap and were blatantly rushed to the point that they're named "Murray/Sly Photo Mission" etc instead of actual names. I can't think of a game that had such potential but then shit the bed so hard in the final stretch. It's the same old story with PS2 games for some reason. Why didn't they just let them take as much time as they needed to develop them?

Definitely cringe furshit.

>> No.7009618

The first one was good as a charming straightforward platformer. 2 and 3 tried too hard to be bigger and more expansive and ended up boring as fuck as a result.

>> No.7009627

>>7009618
The third one was mostly shit because they had gimmick fever just like every other third game. The PS2 version even came with 3D glasses.

I always thought those names for the missions were a choice to set the mood. Like shit just got so real and the characters didn't want to come up with clever names for them.

That would be believable if not for the fact that the zone and missions themselves weren't so barebones. More importantly, the Neyla storyline is a fucking horrific asspull

This guy gets it. The game was paced so well until the last chapter
>Paris intro, easy missions and best villain
>India 2-parter, things start to get serious
>Prague 2-parter, shit just got real
>Canada 2-parter, everything's starting to come together, maintains a perfect balance of fun and difficulty and has the best hub world in the series
>Final world

I could forgive the last chapter if it wasn't for the awful Neyla backstab, she didn't convince as the main villain of the game, I wanted to take her out and then fight Clockpeggio, bleh.

Furries are simultaneously opulent hedonists and extremely hard workers.
It makes people extremely jealous.
Anthro Animal Characters are associated with Furries due to Fursonas and Porn.

The build-up to the Final Episode was so kino I can forgive it not fully delivering. The airship was fun to navigate and has some of the best ambient music in the series.

>> No.7012432

>>7011949
The first two episodes are kino, especially the second one. The game as a whole gets rocky after that and ends in a blatant rush job. Overall it was great playing a new Sly game, the writers nailed the main gang so well it was like hanging out with old friends again which was more than I was expecting to be honest.
