SF4 wasn't bad looking, it at least had a consistent and relatively innovative style.

SF5 however is just horrible, it looks like 4 except with the cartoonish shading replaced with some horrible glow.

The Sega Genesis version of Aladdin had pretty advanced animation techniques for 1993. Donkey Kong Country was specifically made to compete with this game after Nintendo saw what Virgin and Disney were able to do with the Sega Genesis.

It did look pretty bad i remember when it came out. But it was interesting at the same time. I admit I played the game heavily. Sf5 didn't even have the game play going for it. Yes even this year. The game slowed down and I felt I mastered my characters with ease. 4 was faster and had more possibilities due to more combos and speed increase

They did, but they are just that, ports, and of the first generation of super scalers from the 80s. Not moving the tech forward (because the Saturn doesn't have the power to do that). However, the Saturn's port of that particular game runs at lower framerate. The only 90s scaler on the Saturn that I know of, Gale Racer, is absolutely awful. Many of the sprites were replaced with primitive polygons, the draw distance is lowered to nearly right in front of the car, and there's lower resolution assets.
Not shitting on the Saturn, it was the first time we got perfect ports of Space Harrier, Outrun, and Afterburner 2. But that was the limit of the Saturn, or any home console's, ability.
