Just got my flash cart and after like a fuckin day of downloading and extracting I have the entire library.

Give me a good hidden gem. Played all the Nintendo/Rare stuff as a kid.

>> No.7002086

Just play through the Nintendo games again. I struggle to find good games that aren't goemon or bomberman.

>> No.7002102

Idk about hidden but you could try Sin and Punishment, Rocket Robot on Wheels, one of the San Francisco Rush games, or that Volkswagen racing game

Top 5 hidden N64 gems:

1. Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (the funniest videogame of all time)
2. Bangai-O (awesome puzzle/maze shmup by Treasure)
3. Bomberman 64 (Japan-only version, plays like the PC Engine and SNES games, has a bunch of content like an RPG mode)
4. Rakuga Kids (neat and zany Konami fighter with great 2D sprite animations)
5. Sin & Punishment (quite possibly the greatest 3D shmup of all time with a batshit crazy story, try the Hard mode if you want real fun)

Aidyn Chronicles is OK. Not a great RPG compared to what was on PSX at the time but it's a hundred times better than Quest 64 which is really the only other traditional turn-based RPG on N64 besides Paper Mario.

Give Castlevania 64 a chance, it's not bad despite its reputation.

Oh god no, this game is awful.

>> No.7004272

>>7004243
It's OK by N64 standards, you really didn't have much to choose from as far as RPG's but compared to what was on other platforms it was bland, slow, boring, and generic as fuck.

I feel bad for the few people that decided to get an N64 early-on because they figured there'd be sequels and follow-ups to their favorite SNES RPG's on Nintendo's console- oblivious to the horrible mistake they're making.

Wetrix - an addictive puzzle game where your goal is to make as many lakes as you can via placing Tetris style blocks on a flat surface along with water and meteors.

Shadowman 64 - A platforming PC game ported to the N64 that has an amazingly dark atmosphere and story.

Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon - Japanese game that has a lot of references Americans wont understand but is still very funny and fun to play.

Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire - Still my favourite star wars story, mostly because it doesn't involve any of the Jedi.

Star Wars Episode I: Racer - Super interesting and fun racer with a lots of room to improve your podracer and timing for boosting which you will need to do because it gets very difficult.

Blast Corps - extremely fun game where you break down buildings to make way for a truck carrying a nuke.
