I don't even know, just played the first recently, you tell me.

Had no clue there was a third one. Jumping Flash is such a great game.

Me either. Japan only, apparently. I love these games though, the butt-clenching jumps and heights are something I've never felt before or since in a game.

I meant, the series were just so much fun (too bad the other one never came outside of Japan), it just feels so wrong that hardly anyone knows about it unless they actually got it in their childhood. The first game came right before Crash Bandicoot, Spyro or Super Mario 64 AFAIK just to be quietly swept under the rug. There's at least some places that acknowledge these games.

Pretty much so, Japan-only. It differs from Jumping Flash on the fact that there is no main villain and you just try to help villagers (aliens) in these sort of short missions. Mission descriptions and cutscenes have the villagers actually talking to you.

Well it was a very early Playstation game with very little to no marketing for it. Damn shame because Jumping Flash was fantastic.

Great series, and the only first-person game I like.

As in every JF thread, I'll also reccommend Ghost in the Shell for PS1, it was made by the same dev team and while the gameplay is not like JF, it has the same kind of cuhrazey physics.

There is actually a semi prequel to Jumping Flash on the X68000 called Geograph Seal. It's more of a shooter, though it does have the same jumping mechanics.
