It's nothing but rage and frustration, not a single minute of fun. Especially the last 3rd of the game, one cheap insta death traps after another forcing you to sit through the same 10 minutes of tedious "gameplay" wrestling with controls while camera takes a shit.

Atlantis does suck, I agree. Aside from that, you're a butthurt zoomer or normalfag. You don't like exploration, thinking, or challenges, and you don't appreciate ps1 magic.

>> No.6931921

The satisfaction comes from overcoming obstacles one by one, but I agree that's its very tedious, its serious platforming without floaty double jumping and hover farts.

But what about the pointy tits op, that's all anyone ever really cared about

This FUCKING level. This is the scariest ting in all of videogames for me

Tomb Raider is best played on an emulator with a rewind function, it makes it a lot more enjoyable

I thought it was a pretty cool level. Thrown into the deep with no air supply, a big great white shark and no easily forseen chance of escape

For me, it was always Anniversary.

Just save every 10 seconds.
Unless you are a retard and you are playing it on console.

Shame how the last good TR game was made only 11 months after the /vr/ cutoff date. Really makes you think how the series went to shit.

Anniversary, Legends, and Underworld were all released on the PS2. Underworld was the last Tomb Raider game. Nu Raider in 2016 was a fun action game, but a terrible Tomb Raider game.

If I'm playing on actual hardware I prefer the Saturn version to the PS1 version of the first Tomb Raider. The framerate struggles more often, but the controller just seems more suited to the game I think,

Underworld may have been released on the PS2 but it still came out in November 2008.
Anyways although I understand the appeal I just happened to grow up in a time where graphics had a slightly higher standard (yes I know, zoom zoom) so I prefer Anniversary.

Atlantis is a bitch at times, but overall the game is very balanced and enjoyable. Tomb Raider 3 on the other hand...

Anniversary can fuck off with its wallrunning, pole swinging circus acrobatics and quick time events. What a wasted opportunity.

You're probably just not high IQ enough to appreciate the game.

Hey anyone got the links to the gold games?

patience =/= tolerance to waste of time, for the most part TR is a waste of time, the game is filled with surprise deaths. It wouldn't even be bad on it's own if not for all the tedious walking and slow jumping and button pressing you have to do to get back where you were just to get crushed by another fucking boulder and that's not accounting for the shitshow that is combat.

I'm pretty sure you can get 1+2 on Stella's TR site. I think this is where I got 3 but I had extract the .bin and put it on a CD to run, somebody else might have a better way
