Post games that took up a gigantic amount of space on the memory card.
Snowboard Kids takes up 121 fucking pages out of the 123 on official controller packs.

Literally Fatlus.

Also, didn't Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon take up like half the card? I actually don't remember anymore.

Drakan is a great game but the 1500kb per save file was a overkill.

Deus Ex The Conspiracy might seem like the save data bloats to absurd levels like the PC version however it only keeps track of areas which you can actually return to unlike the PC version which stores data for every area even ones it's not longer possible to access. As you progress through an area (hell's kitchen for example stores data for the clinic, streets, ton, smugglers, the pathways to the generator, generator warehouse, mj12 base) and can bloat up to around 400KB. However once you return to UNATCO base the game shrinks back down to a meager 40KB. Cleaning up bloated save data is both clever and worthy of praise especially when the original PC version could swing well above 12MB in size by the end of the game.

Some N64 games took up like 3-5 pages while a whole lot just seemed to just say "ah screw it" and took up the entire pak. Mario Kart 64 took up the entire pak for like 2 ghosts.

I hated how some games on ps2 used so much fucking space I mean:

WWF Just bring it 3000 KB
SOCOM 3 2500 to 3000 KB
Cold Winter 2600 KB
Dog's Life 1500 KB
the Jak and .Hack games use about 1000KB too

Darkstone on PS1 uses 6 blocks of your 15 block memory card

PS1 had 15 blocks, this took 10, plus however many characters you had

pretty much needed a dedicated card for it

This game is not only complete trash on almost every level, it also requires an ENTIRE EMPTY memory card for a single save.

The movie is great though, go watch it if you haven't.

There's a reason why they gave you an extra MC

>> No.6920913

To be fair the N64 memory card felt miniscule, I remember I couldnt fit anything in there other than my THPS 2 save.

Pretty sure the pc version of deus ex does the same thing.
I can see my save files grow up pretty large when I am in Hell's Kitchen or Hong Kong before shrinking right back down for Unatco or NYC's 4th visit.

Wasn't Kirby's Adventure the biggest game on Famicom/NES?
