ITT: Your biggest regret when it came to purchases

>walk into a pawn shop with $20 in hand wanting to buy Alpha 3 on the GBA
>browsing around, see a Neo Geo Pocket Color
>not only that, its the Sonic edition
>its $20
>my infinite youthful wisdom kicks in
>"I'LL JUST BUY ALPHA 3 AND COME BACK TOMORROW"
>get home, realize what I did
>game turned out to be shit, store had closed by then
>run back tomorrow. it was gone

All these years later, I'm still regretting this

Also a couple of years back I had survival horror autism. From that period I bought tons of great and semi-rare stuff but I also have 2 regrets :
>bought a game.com to play its version of Resident Evil 2. It's the worst abomination ever produced in the video game industry.
>bought 4 sealed copies for Silent Hill 2, 3 sealed copies of Silent Hill 3 and one sealed copy of Silent Hill The Room, all for PS2, and all for relatively cheap in a store. Turns out they were all re-seals.

The 2nd isn't that much of a big regret though because they are in great conditions and I still got them resealed for less than they go used anyway; also in the deal I also got several sealed copies of SH2 and SH3 OSTs for very cheap and those were original seals

Went to a Fleamarket once, seen a perfect condition, in-box Terry Pratchett's Disc World. Didn't buy it even though I had heard of it. After about 2 week I went back with the intention of buying it and it wasn't there.

I remember when I was 13 or something, before the times of the retro gaming plague...

There was that second hand store, selling tons of NES/SNES/Master System/Genesis games...

When the PS1 worked well I think, or sometime near that, nobody wanted retro games at all there. There were awesome games for fucking cheap. I remember buying some Wonder Boy on the Genesis and stuff for almost nothing.

But I was still just a teenager and was hyped as fuck by the PS1 so instead of buying all those awesome games, I just bought some new PS1 games with the money I had.

I'm pretty sure I could have bought some awesome games like Secret of Mana and stuff for not even 3€ each...

But back then my cousin and I had that rule: if one of us had a game, the other one wouldn't buy it, so we could lend each other differents games so we can play as much as possible. And, considering my collection and his, I think he got the most interesting ones... Pic related is mine, while he had Secret of Mana, the Mario games and all the other RPGs that I don't have..

I guess the most regretful choice i had was not picking up Oracle of Ages when i had the chance in like 2006 or so, saw the box on a rack at Gamestation (rip) but i didn't get it for some reason, dunno why.

Before i was old enough to get money for simply existing, the only times we got games was when it was Christmas or our birthdays, but never that much money to the extent that we got to buy new things....most notable buys was when my brother got The Grandstream Saga and Pokemon Stadium...

Other time we got games were hand-me-downs or when mum wanted to troll people.

>Hey, Anon, i bought Worms!
>Awesome!!...where is it?
>Here *reveals game from behind back*
>Worms Pinball, not Armageddon....

Mum likes Pinball games... -,-

just wish i had the confidence to just tell her that i should be able to go out whenever i want....and a universe where Dad actually says yes, im like 21 ffs.

Not sure, i don't ask them to get alcohol or anything, more of a coca-cola/pepsi person, coffee is just bland and fowl for my tastes.

The whole 21 thing is real though, maybe it just has something to do with the years or something, i mean it's not like the UK was concerned about partyvans in the 90's, plus my older siblings basically had reasons to move out and get their own stuff.

Think one got pregnant, and the other basically jumped from girlfriend to girlfriend, trying to not be alone, until he had a child with one, now he's married to some 30 something year old with like 3 kids of her own, whilst still juggling that one kid with his old girlfriend and man-no one-has-seen.

I was super fucking tempted to get it, but at the same time I'm like where the hell am I gonna even put that thing in my apartment that isn't probably gonna be a box, it's big.

Well now some garbage dump is hosting that thing.

I sold a bunch of my SNES games in order to buy one or two N64 games as a kid.
I lost A Link to the Past, Super Soccer (or whatever it was called), Aladin and a couple of other games. I miss ALttP the most.

I'm very glad that I decided to keep Secret of Mana. It's my favourite game now.

I did learn a lesson, though: Never ever sell your possessions. You'll get a bit of money out of it, but you lose something non-material in return.
