Someone shipped a box of Atari apps to my address by mistake.
How do I go about finding one of those used app stores in town where I can bring these to exchange or sell?

Give that back, you fucking theif.

I bet you're part of antifa in the sense that you steal shit that isn't yours.

Actually, scratch that. I'd love to see the headline, "Man arrested for stealing games shipped to wrong house". If you go through with it, I hope you get thrown in the cell

Who's the thief? You expect me to pay shipping costs to send back these old apps when I can just carry them to a local app exchange for free and make some money because some idiot screwed up?

>> No.6897194

>>6897174
No, you ask them to pay the shipping costs.

BTW, if you ordered a game online and it got shipped to the wrong house and they pawned it, you would be bitching about it here.

You're selling off something that is not yours. It is intended for somebody else, and by selling that, you are robbing the value of that package not intended for you.

Judging by the fact that you are playing the "you expect me to.." shows you never worked for anything in your life. And guess what, fucker, under section 18 USC 1701: "Whoever knowingly and willfully obstructs or retards the passage of the mail, or any carrier or conveyance carrying the mail, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both." So when this guy asks for his package back, and you jave already sold them, my advice to you is to not drop the soap.

Do the right thing for once in your life, scrape your welfare and disability checks together, and give that shit back. Doesn't even cost a lot, you cheap fuck

Not in the slightest, IF it has his address on it. It's legally his if so. If it has someone else's address on it then he needs to either be nice and deliver it himself (especially if it's right down the street) or give it back to to post office for redelivery.

If it's clearly addressed to him or "resident" at his address and nobody else, then yes, his to keep.
If the recipient is clearly intended to be someone else, but the sender fucked up the address (ie switched digits,) then no.

Will op get caught? who knows. It was scanned through the post office's tracking system, but unless they record GPS coordinates, I don't know how they'll figure out where exactly it was delivered to.

Best case scenario. Sender files a claim (priority packages are insured by default.) and gets their money back. Nothing particularly valuable in that box.

Seriously, just give it back to the owner. Those games are worth about a quarter each, so most used video game stores won't even buy them. (mine does have a box in the back they pull out on request, but the games are only like a dollar each)

Anon I'm going to assume you're not LARPing on this Viking Axe-Throwing Board but if you opened a package not addressed to you you have committed a crime that can land you in prison for up to two years in the UK or five years federal in the US on top of a colossal fine. If you are in the US you are in serious shit right now and this thread could be pulled up in court. Don't bother trying to destroy the package or "lose" it or you get evidence tampering on top of it.

Crimes involving the postal system are tax-evasion levels of "Do not fuck with this" in many countries, especially in the US. Seal the box back up, return to sender, or find if the person is local and deliver it personally with an apology or contact them and ask them to come pick it up.

The post office delivered it to your address making it their problem, not yours, but you are on seriously thin fucking ice. Opening a mundane letter can be overlooked if it was a sincere accident but this wont be as easy.

You fucked up anon.

You're almost better off sitting on them or throwing them away if you're not interested. Atari games usually hang out in some big plastic bin in a used games store, priced anywhere between fifty cents and a buck a piece. You've probably got a whopping four dollars of games here, once they pay you.
