The big problem is there was almost no cohesion between the two plots except for the twist which made zero sense. Forest Gumping the movie kid in for that one giant fuck up kid from the actual live challenge was interesting, bu again terrible execution. and the ending felt like a middle finger because it gave zero closure.

During the Ice Cream news announcement for the film. I was binging GCCX episodes so I don't know which one it was. This was the first time he had heard of the project and announced his skepticisim: the format isn't something you can make a film about, then when informed that it's a drama he said the writers have never written a drama. Then after it was relelased he did the comment to forget about it.

The subs in the challenge parts are accurate, but I guess they were lifted from the already translated MBJ episode. The movie part subs are very inaccurate, most lines seem like whoever typed them out was just guessing what the characters are saying. I don’t really see the point of releasing the subs in this state, but the movie doesn’t get much better even if you understand what’s being said. No wonder the SA goons had no interest in translating it.

I think Kibe’s scripts are mostly for the ADs to follow, like when they should pop in to give Arino clues, some specific lines for them to say and things like what gimmick they’re doing for that episode. Arino himself seems mostly unscripted except for at the start of each episode.
I’ve seen him at least once pointing out how some lines the ADs say reek of Kibe’s writing.
