Is this game worth playing? I've always heard people raving about it.

>> No.689251

Yeah

>> No.690289

Yes.
It's kinda babby first adventure game but it's still awesome, and at least retarded puzzles don't get in the way of the story, which is kinda cool.
And before you finish it and come here asking, act III was made later and that's why it feels rushed.

If you have some buddies interested in retro, get em over and play through Snatcher with em. Probably take about 3 hours or so.

Was that "people" Slowbiff?

The gameplay/story itself doesn't justify the $100 I payed for the Sega CD version, but I do recommend either emulating it or just burning a CD because it was a fun game to play.

Explain, please. How much space does it take?

I remember when I first discovered the world of Emulation, this was the first game I wanted to get because I'd wanted to play it since I was 13. I had a horribly annoying time getting it working properly, which I believed was due to my inexperience at the time, but as I've read online, it's apparently a notoriously difficult game to emulate.

Hope you have an easier time then me if that's the route you're going. Either way it's a great game with fantastic music and a very noir, almost Blade Runner type atmosphere.

Anyway to play on a mac? I've never bothered to emulate, but I'd make an effort for Snatcher.

Way better than Plicenauts.

Yes, definitely. I bought it when it first came out in 93 and it's always been one of my favorites. It borrows pretty liberally from Blade Runner and films of the like (it is a Kojima game after all) but it still manages to feel pretty original. I think it's stood the test of time.

If you're a enthusiast of Point and Click adventure games and Cyberpunk in general, yes

I'm only really a fan of the latter sadly, but the music and atmosphere in Snatcher is excellent

Just got done playing it the other day, adore the musical score and the atmosphere. Very Highlander like

The enhanced CD version with voice acting isn't half bad either surprisingly. The only bad thing about it is that it's extremely picky about which bits have voice over and which don't.

Oh the music and atmosphere is great, but i feel like its depressing for the main character and his own trials and tribulations.

It's one of my favorite games of all time. I like it better than Bladerunner.
