Zeonic Front is basically Tom Clancy's Mobile Suit Gundam and it's hard as balls. SD Gundam G Generation F is the best strategy game. Gundam vs Zeta is just Federation vs Zeon with more shit, so that's a bonus.

It's very clunky--but the clunkiness just makes it feel like a more realistic simulation of early UC, when ALL the mobile suits were clunky prototypes barely out of testing.
Also, the mobile suits look absolutely beautiful when stationary (though the single-digit framerates kind of ruin the effect when they're moving).

They're pretty fun from what I remember, A bit between the Max boost full arcade of modern gundam and the older style in GvsZg

If you got a psp also check out macross triangel frontier, its a macross flavored version of ace combat where you can switch to Gundam Vs controls on the fly
