damn the final section of this game where it's just boss after boss after boss and then dracula is so hardcore. but wait, the true form of dracula is actually death himself. so you defeat death. but wait, the true form of death himself is Satan the devil. holy shit after beating him I was expecting some lovecraftian shit next but nope it finally ends there. phew, im glad dracula is dead for good now. see you guys for the next castlevania game

the whole game is a piece of cake

but if you have trouble know this:
>if you die and use the latest checkpoint
>go back & forth up and down the steps to grind for candles and get upgrades

You get the first whip upgrade at 5 candle and the 2Nd at 30

You fight Countess Bathory before Dracula, and then after you beat Dracula's first form he tags in Drolta the witch. After that you fight dracula's final form which may or may not be the embodiment of humanity's evil.

Gameplay-wise, sure, but I think she's more interesting just because she's an actual historical figure. I was also thinking how cool it would be if they used her or some other fucked up guy from history as a villain, like they did with Vlad, so I was ecstatic when I saw the fucking blood countess in the game.
