Why Taito didn't make a proper arcade version instead of on the SNES? Would've been able to display more enemies/bullet patterns with less slowdowns. Same with Capcom and the SNES Final Fight sequels.

Sayo's new face looks kind of bad. Almost lazy. I like the muted expression, that's okay, but the detail just seems left out.

It probably wouldn't have made sense from Taito & Natsume's perspective when audiences in Japan already had a handful of ports loosely based on the arcade game (MSX2, FDS and PC Engine) and this was their opportunity to do something new.
