The game is shit and not worth discussing. The end. Now watch this thread die at sub-20 posts like every other thread about this piece of shit in the last week.

Awful taste confirmed. The aesthetic, music and soul of the game is excellent. It's very soulful and the puzzles/exploration feel natural and fun.
At the start you can't go very far in a day without collapsing, it's kind of like Chibi Robo in that you have to build up stamina to be able to wander our farther each day. You can also eat food items to keep yourself going.
This filters a lot of people because "wooooow I was just walking and then collapsed and it said game over, shit game." It's not an RPG. It's a slow-burn puzzle/exploration game.

Really good game. Play it blind if you can. The opening really had me hooked right away and I haven't been able to put it down except for work and sleep. Its sense of humor is also on point. If you've played any early DQ games your enjoyment will be heightened.
It's really cool how it came out the same year as FF7 too. It's a ballsy game.

A translation patch for the PSX version (with a better translation might I add) floated around here for a bit before the Switch launch.

A very good adventure/puzzle game that's lightly themed around JRPG tropes. Most of the puzzles make sense but being a Japanese game from the 90s, there is a fair bit of bullshit to wade through. Do your best to not look up a guide, but don't feel bad if you get seriously stumped because they don't tell you have the shit you need to know. The fishing tournament is 100% RNG and I've heard of some people spending 8 hours trying to beat it so they can 100% the game, which is inexcusable. But this is from a different era of gaming where you weren't expected to get everything on your first run and secrets were called secrets for a reason. The music, graphics, setting and characters are all very charming and I found myself enjoying the gameplay a lot more than I thought I would. I think I'm almost near the end, I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for something a bit different. It has a lot of charm.

One more thing: never played Undertale, it looks gay.

Toby Fox never played Moon. He just took the basic concept of helping the NPCs through idiosyncratic puzzles instead of killing them. They play pretty differently.
