This is one of my favorite games of all time. Yeah I know Diablo II is better but I have nostalgia for this one. Are the Dark Alliance games as good as this?

The sequels have improved mechanics but their worlds are just hubs.

I never got the Champions love. It's just a consolefied ARPG with as generic of a setting as you can get. I played it a couple years ago with someone and I had to struggle to stay awake.

It was fun playing as the wizard, until I realized the damage cap on the spells ruined the character. In this game, the sky is the limit for weapon damage, but direct-damage spells are capped so low they become useless at the higher difficulties.
