Okay, but I prefer the arcade versions. They don't suffer from being turning into a collectathon as much, even though it was kinda there since arcade Legends.

GC version has a inventory for your powerups though, so you can choose when to use them and also stack up on a bunch. Not sure which is better.

There's a third option, a monumental secret hidden in your very presence here. It's a secret you have to discover for yourself. Unearth your destiny anon, it's all laid out for you here. There are only two sides to this coin, but suppose you throw a coin enough times - suppose one day it lands on its edge.

How's the arcade version? I just tried emulating the GCN version and it was running at 20FPS which felt rather sluggish.

The 3DFX arcade games were hardly smooth. Blitz was an exception.

Lighting on the characters don't make them them look as flat, but the performance is a bit all over the place. Better than the Gamecube in some areas, worse in others. There's less content, but it's not much of a loss.

List of what's missing:

Stages: Castle Barracks, Sky Mothership (music is present in HD), Dream Haunted Grounds, Dream Nightmare

Enemies: Gargoyles (present in arcade Legends, but as guardians in the Underworld), Generals, Town Ghosts, Dream Warlocks, and Sky Plague Creatures.

Enemies for a couple stages were shuffled around as a result of the missing content, but it doesn't really matter as much. In fact, AI in a couple stages of the console versions suffered because of the enemy changes. Examples of this include the Cloud Docks, with the mutants trying to shoot projectiles when they weren't programmed to have any. Maze of Illusion suffers from the opposite of this, the Warlocks can shoot projectiles, but because the original enemies were the generic dream imps, they don't bother.
