Welcome to The Garage, a racing thread where fans of racing vidya can discuss their favorite arcade, sim, and kart racing games. If you’re looking for something new to play or are new to the genre ask other anons for recommendations and remember to gear up and have fun.

DD & DD Raw were the best of the four. DD2 I found too fast and DD Arenas is not a DD franchise game. It's a good game but it's not in the same gritty vein as the first three... which is crazy considering Studio 33 developed both Raw & Arenas.

Thanks for the tips, I got it to work well enough somehow.
I was already using the modern patch with the nglide thrash driver, tried dgvoodoo and it looked fine but was very slow in menus and kept crashing when returning to menu, unless the in-game resolution was 640x480.
What ended up working was the nglide thrash driver, setting the type to d3d in thrash.ini and then running it with DXVK.
Should've mentioned that I'm on Linux which might be the reason for extra headache, although I've also had this on one windows system.

Yes. It has a very industrial theme and has an actual campaign/career/championship mode. Personally i'd avoid a general as ultimately their isn't a big single community that still creates swathes of content (like doom and its modding scene) that would form here. There are obviously dedicated communities out in the wild but they are generally the people who have been playing those games for over a decade and are not the type to prop up a /vr/ thread with content.
