I'm really fond of Yume Nikki. I beat it quite recently actually, around the beginning of this year to be specific. I've been kind of obsessed with it ever since, lel. The atmosphere really stuck with me.

I heard about Yume Nikki for years, but it was kind of underwhelming when I finally played it last year. Not sure what all the hubbub is about. Seems like a fun game to play on LSD though, maybe I'll do that if I ever try out LSD.

Yup, it's a double travesty. I think trannies get a hard dick for games they perceive as obscure/marginalized (omg it's like MEEE). Bet they still lie to themselves that Undertale is "omg so obscure and underrated"

I think I perhaps made the thread too early into /vr/'s new update. nobody really cares, lol.
People are still arguing if this stuff should be considered retro or not. Oh well, I'll probably try again in the next couple of weeks once it all calms down.

it is, there are chase sequences and the focus is "scary exploration" rather than going to interesting looking places. It's inspired by games like Sweet Home while doing its own thing. Said formula became so popular that it spawned an impressive number of fan games (not as many as YN, but still impressive). MoF translated some of them, pic related
The PSP Corpse Party a.k.a Blood Covered should be allowed in here too since it's an enhanced remake of the original, kind of like the gamecube Resident Evil.

pretty fucking good, it has additional voice acting over the PC version afaik, and the resolution of the 3DS is just right for the game while the other versions look upscaled. Also, 3DS is good out of the box while you need to apply a plethora of mods to the PC version
