WonderSwan and WonderSwan Color are two different video game systems, but that doesn't matter anymore, by the way.

I have a SwanCrystal sitting in a forwarder's warehouse, making do with a Color for now as I play Riviera. It's not bad during the day when I can use natural light, but at night it's hard to distinguish the colors so I hope it's better on the Crystal.

even if a core comes out for it, enjoy the shitty controls and trying to rotate the screen in games that require it.

Biggest problem with this handheld is cartridges didn't fit very snug into the slot, and that was sensitive to motion. It's pretty common to lose save data just because a moth farted in Pakistan.

the fuck? all my cartridges fit snugly and I never lost save data. Actually I wish I could completely reset my riviera cartridge since it unlocks some extra features and stuff across all save files and I have a used copy so if I could just wiggle it around and start from scratch that would be rather convenient.

I lost my Final Fantasy 1 save data at least 5 times. Never once removed the cart from its slot, but each time it happened, it was after having kept the handheld in my pants pocket and walking around for a bit with it.

>WonderSwan
It's a decent system but if you aren't learning Japanese, it's not easy to get into because it ain't gaijin friendly like Game Boy and Game Gear imports since so many of it's games were made in an era of the Japanese games industry where twitchy, linear action games were getting the backseat in favor of more menu-driven games. No one really cares to translate it's games either. Also a good chunk of the library is based on licensed anime & manga properties so there's a lot less appeal if you aren't into that shit already.

>> No.6781245

>>6781232
it's more that the screen was shit so it didn't lend itself to action games

It has some action and fighting games as well. The 2 guilty gear games are especially good.

I wold say that with zero knowledge of moon runes, you could probably still play about 15-20 games OK.

rofl most of these descriptions are so ignorant it's kinda sad
SaGa is a straight downgrade from the original version but for some reason it always gets recommended by anglos despite Japanese people not liking it
and no riviera is wtf.
