Yea, the controls can definitly be pretty bad, lock on especially, but how are the enemies spongy and the game too long?

Lock on's literally the only thing wrong with the controls, I'd still much rather have that than NG's fucking camera desu. He's right about spongy enemies though, some of the later stages on hard mode start feeling like a bit of a slog, doesn't help that you have to wait for counterhit opportunities to do any real damage.
