They have always had the goal of preserving all officially released ROMs. Their mission statement was to keep metadata on whether dumps were good or bad and preserve the official ones. There are plenty of dumps that play fine but are not bitwise identical to the official ROM due to some filler parts of the ROM dump being corrupted in filler portions. Here is the OoT archive from a 2014 torrent.
