It's not really obscure, but I don't even hear anyone talk about it that often. Play babby's first ecchi dating sim rpg: Thousand Arms. Played this for the first time over at a friend's house (it was actually his sister's game lol), and I've been obsessed with it since. Silly and stupid 90s anime humor and cute girls to date to make your swords better, seriously, just play it.

This game deserves to be obscure. I was fuming when I got this in '95 and I still hate it 25 years later. Jumping Flash was such shit I considered returning the PS1 but I didn't because I did like Warhawk.

No one ever seems to talk about this survival horror game, ever. Which is a real shame because I found it cool as fuck the first time I got to play it. You play some kid who's been given mental powers, and he has trouble controlling them. When your health falls to a certain point, literally walking next to someone will make their head pop off because you can't contain your power. It's kind of dark and edgy, but it's still good.

It's called "TOMBI" here, because "tomba" has a grim meaning in my country
The first game is all about platforming, except from the towns levels
Tomba 2 has a quests system. You should definitely try it again, it's so good, keeping in mind it's not an improvement from the original ,but it's also not a step back. It's a game on its own, full of details and soul

We had the same kind of SNES shortage in Italy too. For some reason it was so difficult to get a snes and N64 later. Gamecube got the same fate. These consoles were and are still pretty rare here. Prices go up every year like crazy, and retrogames has become the most expensive hobby market on ebay. Sounds like a joke, but it isn't. Systems are so hard to get by, let alone games.
The only console that was really popular here was the ps1. Even little kids know about 5th gen ps games
It's kind of a cult but It couldn't be helped. Growing up I ended enjoying and liking sega consoles more. These are the rarest, I know people that would kill strangers for a saturn or a dreamcast. Can't blame them

Fucking love this game. Recently learned that it was part of the Choro Q series, but I spent hours in this game as a kid running around in a bright yellow lifted mini van just exploring the world. I didn't really care about the racing as a kid (though I'd like to give it a go now), but the whole world is so well fleshed out and large. there's a ton of empty space between towns and whatnot, but I think that gives the player a chance to see just how large the game world is because of the fact that you are the car.

This game's soundtrack cracks me up and whenever I bring it up to friends they start laughing hard as well.

Metal Walker. A really fun rpg with pinball mechanics for the battles. It's also pretty hard.

I'm guessing you mean the US OST, the JP one was pretty neat and not as in-your-face.

I know it's not really obscure around these parts but I doubt I'll ever hear a normalfag mention Garage. I fucking love the visuals and aesthetic though, it's right up my alley.
That being said I didn't get very far considering the fact I don't speak moonrunes, if I had the money I'd see if I could somehow commission a full translation, but idk if that's even possible.

The US OST also has technical problems afaik. There is a sound channel conflict that either interferes with the music or the effects, can't remember which way.

I've never seen someone else bring this up or even reply when I mention it but I had good fun. I found it a little too easy but it was still a great ride.

I hated this game. Lots of peopme liked it, but the "one town, one dungeon" thing is rarely for me unless it is Diablo. And the entire fact that you go back to level 1 whenever you leave the dungeon is pure faggotry.

>>6722278
This game had one of the worst combat mechanics in a jrpg ever. I enjoyed the game nonetheless. For somecreason I never could get special moves for anyone but the big sperg guy who couldn't talk to women so he was pretty much a must in my party.

Loved this game. Everyone who plated it loved it. It is fact.

>>6724201
The premise of this game blew my mind. Start off as a kid and develop into an old man with w unique fighting style that depended on how you treated your character. Execution was not as good but I still have a soft spot for it.

Shadow hearts rocked, and it all started with this. It was an interesting, weird game.

Cool as fuck is right. Never finished it because my pirated copy was buggy as hell.

I can't remember the name of the game, but it played similar to Monkey Island. You were this teenage-looking dude in a city, and you could go on these 2D cartoon screens to different places. A record shop was one of the places, and one of the things you had to do was convince some bouncer outside some form of club to let you in by giving him something. I recall him not letting you in because you were too young. Anyone know which game this is?

I played the shit outta the second one. Printed out instructions on getting all the endings, never got hit, did it all.

I still enjoy the phrase "perfect genocide bonus."
