Sons of Liberty is a better game overall, but the stealth mechanics don't match those in Chaos Theory, or any of the first three SC games really. I guess it's the same sort of thing with Thief though. I prefer Metal Gear Solid, but the stealth gameplay is really simplistic compared to Thief.

I think the first EA game I played back in the day was FIFA. No wait, it was Desert Strike on Genesis.
Dunno, I wasn't impressed by either - I know the Strike series has fans, I'm not saying it's bad per se but not what I'd consider great, I was disappointed by the graphics, and the gameplay was slow and clunky (it was my first time playing Genesis and I expected Sanic, my friend had this instead). Fifa also felt clunky as shit.
In comparison to Fifa, I always had fun with Konami's ISS series.
Always felt EA games had this sort of very corporate, sterile feel to them, even back in the day before they became what they are today.
