Been playing Fallout 2 for a week now
I did install the Restoration Projects

Are there any other mods worth installing? Will they fuck up my save

Patch after you save, and you cannot load that save file again unless you find a means of rolling back, in most cases.

The only save I keep onhand is one I hex-edited to have max stats and skills for fuck-around playthroughs. I don't think I'll play FO2 again until at least 2018, if I live that long.

Step 1: Start game
Step 2: Travel all the way to San Francisco and get quest to go to Navarro
Step 3: Go to Navarro and acquire power armour
Step 4: Leave Navarro at about level 8 with Mk 2 Power Armour
Step 5: Dump all skill points into unarmed and roam the wastes as an invincible punching machine of death

what's the point of playing F2 on easymode?

I just played this for the first time a week ago, and I have to agree, total bitch mode. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Restoration project feels a little half assed, Abbey served no real purpose, and EPA seems too easy when you finally have access to it. Still good, though.

Only fun to do if you want to fuck around after a proper playthrough.

*after 4 different playthroughs

Sure, you can go straight to Navarro, but thats cheating. Not neglecting anyone here though, play your vidya as you want.

Yeah, I've personally never done it and I've played through FO2 twice and the original at least a half-dozen times. There's just too many different ways you can legitimately finish the game for me to bother with "breaking" the game. But it's fun that it's possible, isn't it?

I still need to do a low intelligence playthrough.

Do it bro. Being a retard in Fallout is fun.
