I've been using an old saitek for over a decade because it has bumpers, triggers, six face buttons, a button for start, AND two sticks

it's not bad but it's old as hell. Once you've gone six face buttons and two sticks it's hard to go back to the fucky common modern layout.

My gripe with that design is that the face buttons aren't diamond shaped.
Pressing A while holding X requires you to hold the controller in an awkward position, not very comfortable.
