Don't listen to >>6671950. Both PE1 and 2 are good games. Which one you like more depends on what style of gameplay you prefer. PE1 is an action RPG that's a like Vagrant Story in the combat department. PE2 is still an action RPG, but adds fixed camera angles like RE.

Worse story, worse music, boring environments where nothing happens, no connection to the first game, gameplay worse than RE, Dino Crisis, and Blue Stinger, was only made to cash in on the success. At least the PSP game had a unique mechanic.

You don't have THAT amount of enemies in Resident Evil, you don't have the variety of weapons that this game offers you either. Basically resident evil games was all about hit and run, in the Parasite eve you had to have an strategy to combine with the parasite energies, guns and miscellaneous, not to mention that it had an attractive replayability and a good story.

Nothing fucking happens in Resident Evil, you're in it for the survival gameplay to get to the end and solve the mission. PE1 is objectively better than PE2 but if you like Resident Evil games and backtracking to fuck and back because there's a limited amount of EXP in the game along with crazy stupid missable items, give it a shot
