I kind of wish I could stay as a bunny the entire time for the dark world. I also wish Toilet Paper would let you have more segment to play as a wolf, notably dungeons without handholding or forced killing one singular type of monster

Good thing there are randomizer to let you play as a rabbit 24/7, but then I realized Bunny link isn't as cute when you got a crisp clean image on a emulator

There are definitely people who enjoy that and there is nothing wrong with that

But the true joy of animal transformation are the abilities you have, and the new opportunity it gives for fun gameplay. Majora's Mask may be short compared to OOT, but having three new ways to fuck around was great. I also wish Toilet Paper had more wolf segment that wasn't just beating three fucks and get shitty bugs. Least transform to get into rooms and other fun shit with Midna

LttP was my first Zelda game, and Link's Awakening was my second. My dumb child brain saw Link's sprite in Awakening as a rat, and I kind of figured the series was all about the hero transforming into an animal at one point or another.
