A bomb has been planted inside of your computer.
The only way to defuse it is to post good retro FPS games
Posting anything made by ID software detonates the bomb

Yes, yes, it's a minigun, but really, considering it's pretty much the ultimate gun in Wolfenstein, it might as well be the BFG.

Especially in 400 and 480 line modes. SVGA resolutions you don't notice them as much, especially on smaller monitors.

For example, I have a Dell 17". In 1024x768, there's no discernible scan lines. 800x600 you can see them, but only if you tilt your head horizontally.

Cliffhanger ending that never gets resolved leaves much to be desired, even if that ending is horrible.

Descent II... I'm not sure if I'd qualify them as FPS, but for the sake of argument, let's say we do... they really fucking suck... if you don't play those pretty damn good games with rebirth, it's nice that way.

Shogo can go fuck off like the buggy pile of shit it is. Horrid mouse input, shit res scaling, poor story and presentation, weak level design, stiff movement. Though I will grant you the fact that despite the fact that it's rather poor to mediocre, it's still one of the better games in this thread. Which speaks to the thread more than the game.

It's one of those odd games that straddle the line between a vehicle sim and an FPS.
FPS games while yes, are first person and shooters. Flight games are not FPS games nor are tank games. FPS games are generally reserved for infantry combat. But if you said well it's first person and you shoot, that is true, but that's not really what FPS really mean now. But it's not like there's a specific genre for free floating 360 space craft arcade games either, though there's also Forsaken which is similar. It kind of took a few things and did it's own thing.

I actually bought the N64 version back when it was released. Hated it, but I got pretty far (I was young and couldn´t buy a new game every month). I never finished it, though. I downloaded the PC version a few days ago for old times sake. Needless to say, I uninstalled it after 30 minutes.
