Its spring. That means Spring Cleaning. I found a heap of gaming magazines I had as a teenager. This stack was like four feet tall. I looked around and noticed only a few magazines have their runs readily available for download. So every time I scan my magazines I will make a thread and dump them here.

Eventually, I'll shit can them or give them to someone who will care for them( locally). Some of these need to be redone. Here is all that I have done yesterday.

>> No.664647

Check with Retromags. They have a SHITLOAD of US and UK magazines scanned through like 2001, but are having severe hosting issues, and for whatever reason, aren't capable of using sneakernet to create seeds for torrents. I even told them to mail each other memory cards with the archives on them, and use BT and MEGA to distribute to the public, but NO, that would make SENSE.

For posterity it's usually better to scan it in completion, even if the pages are uninteresting, ads or even blank.
It's also nice if you can scan it at a higher resolution, but if no one else has a scan people will take what they can get.

Britfag here, a long while back my brother brought home a box of magazines given to him by a friend who was moving house. Among them was several issues of EGM. How he got hold of them I don't know.

Perhaps as a Television reference, like instead of tuning into channel 3 you're tuning to channel F.

This was at least a few months before the 2600 mind you, so it's decently 'out there' from our realm of understanding. What seems odd or even quaint by our standards was revolutionary or groundbreaking then.

Also, a quick Wikipedia checkup says that the Channel F was the first console to have a microprocessor.

Slightly Jaguar quality scans...

I've shocked myself a few times on this old scanner. So i've been playing more attention to electrical taping the areas my fingers like to touch.

I'd estimate I have
Game Informer's 95-01 run
A handful of Gamepros from 94-00
A handful of EGM from 94-00
A handful of EGM2 from 97-00
A year of PSM from 97-98
A handful of VG from 94-96
and six various magazines during 97-00

Sick burn bro

Actually Rebel Assault is a pretty fun, albeit incredibly cheesy game.

I wonder how mad people who bought the Jaguar full price were when they finally got some games. I always wanted one as a young teenager but I am glad I never found a way to acquire one.

One of the few times I've seen a review say the Genesis port was superior to the SNES one.

Another CD-i game I'd play. Then I just noticed this and Clue got a superior PC port.

No, but it does have a couple of D-level actors portraying Anonymous Rebels #1 and #2 in some hilariously awful FMVs.

PROTIP:

Some gaming magazines (almost positive Game Informer is one of them) have made it clear that they do not want their content distributed via online scans, and have stated they will take legal action.

This obviously pertains to the SALES of magazine scans, but it also is one of the key factors in why it is difficult to get a hold of some scans.

That and laziness.

>> No.682675

I have a few random scans, mostly from scans off of emuparadise or random 4chan posts, but I don't want to take posts away from OP/others if they decide to post OC or full scans.

Unless people want them?

Ultra Game Player is a pain to scan. I think I only have one. I may have another though. I'll get to it eventually. I do not have any NG( I think).
