1) DK94 is not a version of Donkey Kong, it’s an entirely different kind of game.

Incidentally, it took me years to beat the game to. Bought it when I was like eight, made good progress through the first stages and got stuck on the first ship level. After weeks without success, I put the game in a drawer. 20 years later, I saw an LP of it, thought "let's see how that works", saw the most unbelievably easy solution and proceeded to bang my head against the wall for 30 minutes. Then I dusted off my gameboy and had the game beat by that evening.

Good challenge for a few weeks, then replayed it lots of times. I don't see what is so particularly difficult about the first ship level though, didn't have many problems with that one, later levels are A LOT more tough (even on the ship itself).

Wario Land 3 was fantastic, but it's better as a first entry in the series. It was my first GBC Wario Land game (I played 4 before and didn't like it) and wasn't expecting much, but fucking loved the Metroidvania exploration. I can see autists getting mad because abilities are slow to unlock due to the different design philosophy, but if you don't go in with retarded preconceived notions of how the game should play, it's great.

We should discuss how many "ports" of games actually have different content. Like the Megaman games. Some people think they're straight ports from the NES and pass over them, but they're very different in some regards. I think Battletoads on the GB is an all original game too.
