Anyway, Fun House is okay, but Bart VS Space Mutants has more soul. Its first level is still one of the best moments in Simpsons vidya.

Unironically the game falls apart by the second level and becomes garbage. As a kid I also never got past the first level on the NES, but could on the Genesis version.

The first level is definitely kino. I remember renting it for the colorful art on the cart. I don't think I even seen a single episode of the Simpsons, but was familiar with the character. I think what made that level great was that it held a lot of mystery, since I couldn't beat it. Imagining what the rest of the game is like.

This. I suffered through endless hours of Hit and Run because I liked The Simpsons and didn't have access to GTA. Seeing it be re-habbed over the last five years is fucking insane, that game is a massive turd. Only notable for how many joke easter eggs they pack in there. Truly a miserable game.

If only I could get the hours back from playing Hit and Run, Road Rage, Simpsons Wrestling, Simpsons Skateboarding. If I could just have that time back, even just to jerk off, it would be an incredible get. man those games fucking suck an egg.

Honestly the first level is almost like it's from a different game because they have you put so much thought into getting the purple objects color changed in some way. The multiples stores, the items you can use...

Agreed. Working out how to get Moe to leave the tavern so you can spray his apron was nuts. There was a bit of that in the circus using a magnet to rig a roulette game but other than that the rest of the game was so simple compared to level 1.

It really feels like the game was designed for the rental market. Make a really damn good first level to get people sucked in, then an endless series of filters after to keep people from beating it.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, H&R is a fun and enjoyable game if you are just playing through. The moment you try to go for 100%, it turns into a miserable slog where you find yourself fighting against the poor hit detection, sloppy controls, and the fact the AI cheats like a bastard.

just googled and its RatTrap on the amiga..fucking hell, they didnt even bother to make new levels! its literally just a port but with simpsons sprites, exact same levels..crazy!
