How do characters passively buff each other in 9? Can you link something discussing this mechanic? I don't remember it at all

Jobs (3/5) plus individual leveling (2) combined into a license board or sphere grid (12 and 10) would be the best for me.
Junctioning (8) and equipment abilities (9) are the worst.
The rest are OK.
Also, limit breaks and other equal mechanics suck big donkey balls and should just disappear from the series.

I agree that Junctioning is one of the most disliked systems from FF, but it is genuinely one of the most unique for not just FF, but for any jrpg. I would love to see Square take another crack at it. After all, they've perfected the jobs system only after making 3, 5, Tactics, and so on.

The real problem with junctioning is that it removes the incentive to cast spells, and encourages the grindy sorts of players to draw 100 of everything before they realize they can refine whatever they need from items and cards. It doesn't help that it was coupled with an abusable summon system, and physical attacks that out-performed most magic by midgame.

I imagine it would be pretty interesting with a percentage, rather than a set amount of spells. You still use magic with MP, but the spells effectiveness when junctioned to a stat would be based off of a percentage that was dictated by class, usage, level, or other gameplay mechanics.

not them but I remember Steiner can only use spellblade if Vivi is in the party, I don't think there's anything else
