Why is there a comparison between Saturn and N64? The N64 only sold well in America. It's library is primarily out of date sports games, racers and platformers which has been ported to every other nintendo console to date. Most of the original controllers are too far damaged to be of use any more and the library has no games worth discussing past that.

None of this is true about the Saturn.

Wrong, many of the saturn versions are definitive to this day. Not to mention it can be very difficult to get an entire arcade cabinet for just one game.

This is an utter pile of BS. If any system was capable of running Street Fighter 3 it was the Saturn. The Saturn uses the same CPU as the CPS-3 board and they have very similar specs for their sprite and background capabilities. Capcom was even doing research into porting CPS3 games to the Saturn before the Dreamcast came out. The only real issue was how big of a RAM cart would be needed.

It runs at a higher frame rate because the PS1 is faster at rendering polygons than the N64. All those nice things the N64 does like Perspective Correction, Texture tiling, anti-aliasing, texture filtering, etc. aren't cheap and end up killing the performance of most games that use them.

Only the z-buffer really effects performance. You can disable texture filtering in some games and AA in all games with hacks and it has very little impact on performance. The memory bus and reliance on microcode is what causes so many games to have 20FPS average.
