I can't think of get 6 as "old" or "retro" but I think tendencies from that era were much more in line with the subject matter of this board than with what we think of as "modern systems. Honestly, all memes aside, I might be the most mentally ill person on /vr/ and most akin to Kefka. I've already posted in this board 120 times today, but I decided to take it seriously this time around.

I post on /vr/ exclusively for about 12-16 hours each day. Every day. This general is pretty much my entire life. My life is just sitting in my room with movies playing in the background as I post here. I have several different monitors hooked up to different vpns to even change the number of posters in a given thread so no one calls out my samefagging.

On top of that, I pretend to be different people and even argue, disagree and insult myself. Writing in different styles and using different mannerisms so no one knows the extent of my posting or recognizes me. Often times when I'm online and in my peak posting hours, the catalog will be almost all me.

I figure I make about 20 posts a hour on average. Consistently for three years, that's about 300,000 posts, conservatively. I posted very frequently a decade prior to the three years of becoming a hermit, but not to this extent. I'd like to think I'm hitting close to a million posts in the near future.

Sometimes, I post so much I forget who is and isn't me. Chances are, if you're a regular on /vr/, you've spoken to a version of myself. Each time I make a successful meme or get a lot of (you)s, I save the image, print it out and frame it on my wall. I am surrounded by accomplishment.

You are in my home and I'll most certainly be seeing you around. But the great thing about 4chan is that you'll never know it's me.

The only Mario game I ever beat was Mario RPG and Mario 64, but I never got all the stars so not really. I have only baaten megaman legends, no other megaman game, except for the megaman zero games. The only final fantasy gaem I bothered to beat was ff7. The majority of the games Iplay are on the gba. I own no video games and emulate everything. My fav rpg is golden sun one and two. I've never liked a first person shooter aside from metroid prime. The only castlevanian game Ilike is Aria Of Sorrow. Donkey kong reminds me of black people too much to play it in current year. Yoshi's Island is too hard too though I can almost play through that one. Soul caliber I fap to the damage noises of before I had Internet access. I always choose the girl character in video games such as soul caliber, and the youngest preferably, and also I wish I was one. Summon Knight is an example. So is pokemon. I'm awful at fighting games. My fav genre is jrpg of course.

Got super mad fighting Bowser in SMW, and made my younger cousins who were spending the weekend with me get on their knees and pray so that I'd win. I kept losing and getting angrier at them, who kept praying in fear, until I finally won.
Nowadays I can beat Bowser with ease but when I was 8 I kept getting fucked by either the fire flames, or the last phase of the battle. Also took forever to land hits since I couldn't into the throwing mechanic very well.

I speed up a lot of games these days, mostly old JRPGs because they can really be a chore to play, went through DQ1-6 at 1.5x speed outside of cutscene and stuff I regret nothing and I loved playing all of them honestly.

Save state a lot in games, sometimes for difficulty, sometimes to save time, sometimes to put me back before a boss, sometimes for drops. Pretty much to make the game easier and waste less time in the process. Surprisingly I don't do it in games that ARE testing my skill that don't waste too much of my time (Punch Out, Alien Solider, Battle Mania etc.)

There's a patch so when you get a game over at temples you start at the beginning of temples. This is how the first Legend of Zelda worked too. Presumably they changed this to make the sequel feel larger than it was.

If you stab the statue at the beginning of temples there's a chance it will either produce an enemy or a magic re-fill. And if it produces an enemy just exit the temple and enter again. Once you get the heal spell you can keep doing this to fill your life and magic meters all the way.

There's also a trick on the American version to get a lot of extra EXP. It involves waiting to kill the boss when your EXP has rolled over to the right point in terms of your levels. You can effectively double how many stats you can level up with each boss fight as each fills your EXP to the top.
