hey is it okay if i request good console beat em ups in this thread? i didnt want to kill a thread just to say so, and I know OP said games that aren't beat em ups but as above so below. im in love with pic related. i think my favorite feature is the power hits you're allowed after you've gained up enough hits without missing/getting hit. it makes me feel like i pace myself alot better and learn timing really well just blazing through the stages and going different routes with SM and venom. anyone else that plays this game well, who do you think is better? spiderman or venom? venom has AoE power hit zwhen doing normal combo but his Throw power hit only hits one enemy while spider-man's can hit multi since he does his wavekick. i've also been finding much more use for the extrajoy move when im about to get ganked. i love final fight but the snes games are terrible. good beat em ups on genesis besides sor?

Finishing in hard ways doesn't change the ending. You can try winning without dying at all, winning without losing Maria, or winning without becoming a demon, and you'll always get the same ending. It's unfortunate.

The transformations don't add much. It's kinda fun to find out which sections each one is suited for, but the demon forms are badly balanced (the green one mostly sucks as I recall) and none of them is different from the human form in any really fun way. It's just a basic action game with or without them, and it's a good one either way.
