I like the 3DS remake that adds in the ability to slow your descent like in the gameboy sequel, and it had spiffy new backgrounds. Shame it's going to be forever stuck on a defunct handheld.

Also wish we would get a real sequel and not a starfox game with a greek anime skin.

I remember trying it around 6 years ago, and I was wise to the powerup system because of Game Center CX. I couldn't find the exact scores you had to get before each level end though, so I gave up.

This is bait, right? The fact alone that Myths and Monsters doesn't have a reputation of being hard should tell you something, but anecdotally, I had no trouble with the game either. Yes some of the bosses are hard, but they're ultimately a cakewalk compared to the difficulty of some of the NES game's dungeons.
