The source code to Agony by Psygnosis for Amiga was released to the public by Yves Grolet, programmer of the game. It is not open source, but still an interesting resource nonetheless.

The point was that the comments can wind up there in a million ways. For example if they're part of a macro then they're essentially co-generated pseudocode for readability, not documentation. That's one example. Don't fixate on it because you are dumb.

68k was still relatively simple to be programmed in straight assembler but C was also used with some Amiga vidya development. Some devs used a cross-compiler in which the dev suite was working on a PC(or Atari ST in some cases) and it was connected to Amiga.
I really do miss those simpler times when few guys could do a game and become a huge stars. Now ever game is filled with microtransactions and gambling functionalities etc, no innovation happens outside from how to make people to spend more money.
