It's a BAFTA award. PD's composer, Grant Kirkhope, was eventually nominated for a BAFTA, but not for Perfect Dark.

However, like Username: Entropic Decay, Password: Zero-Tau it was likely just intended for use with the Datadyne website, which Rareware never really used. It just redirects to Rareware now.

He's in that position because this is an unused scenario. This was taken using a leaked debug ROM, which lets you access all the cutscenes in the game, including several unused scenes, and it lets you pause the cutscene and assume control of Link, letting you explore the map, which sometimes had stuff arranged differently than it normally would be depending on the scene.

Here is the old lady from the Market in Kakariko Village, for instance. She would normally never be here, but if you pause the Death Mountain eruption cutscene, you see her here.

That's pretty normal here in The Netherlands and that's definitely a Dutch name.

Now hold on a second, scaling with linear interpolation made the second character very clearly appear as け

So now we have 上 け

I don't think any word starts with 上け

However, there is 上げる/上げて/上げます

The second char looks like either an i or a wa to me. And the last word starts with KO in katakana.

but it's way too fucking blurry to make out anything real. If what >>658042 said is true, then it probably does say "run around to get coins, dumbfuck".

"blond" is male
"blonde" is female

it's the only gendered adjective in modern english. In ye oldene tymes, "naif" was male and "naive" was female.

I think I can make out a word in Japanese there "Koo-do" that is for "code". It's definitely in Japanese.

Also the beginning two characters could be "up is" or even Uemura (a name). Rest is too blurry I dont even have a guess.

Fiancé and fiancée are also gendered. Probably some other words derived from French too.

I... I never realized this... I always thought it was just a stylistic thing... my mind is blown
