What Taito lacked in good game design, they made up for in spades with amazing music.

It's too bad that the Ninja Warriors will not return again or even once again after this last time.

Nah, it's better this way. Modern devs would just poz it up like they did to Windjammers, Streets of Rage, etc.

Zuntata comes from another planet where people live underwater, in cities built in the deep sea.

I get it now. Daddy Mulk. We will proceed with the Mark plan.

Love the song. I can still hear the enemy screaming "retreat!" to this song. Would have been great to see these in-house bands like falcom's JDK band perform video game music live.

Fucking nice, dude. I don't even want to know how much it would cost to get a real MD The Ninja Warriors CD. Go ahead and tell me, though.

It's mostly reaction time and memorization, yes. Tough as nails, truly a monster of a game.

I don't exactly remember the price. Back then it was not that common either. I think it was somewhere between 3000JPY and 4000JPY. I have not beaten the game yet, so I'm impressed you've made it far. I think I get bored of it after a couple stages, but I do like it enough to play it once in a while. I remember playing the arcade game at the end of a discount store with the impressive 3-screen setup. I think I'm pretty amused that the credit inserted jingle mixes right in to the music.

I honestly can't get over how much this resembles a RUSH song. It's totally something you'd hear from Geddy Lee in the early 80s.

For clearing the SNES version, Ninja is the easiest. In the arcade, since they're both similar, Kunoichi in case she gets hit on the upper torso.

Nice wasn't it? I was lucky myself and got to play the test market version (seemed the same to my recollection) of The Ninja Warriors at Disneyland in 1987, not 1988. It was very out of place, but very fun. 75 cents too which was outrageous even for Disneyland at the time, but hey.
