It's fun but it's almost pure memorization. Like it's easy to dodge shit that comes from below or behind you but you have to know EXACTLY where shit is going to come from. For that reason, I'd recommend Space Megaforce. It's a decent challenge for a newbie on the default setting, it's fun, it's a great achievement of the SNES hardware, and your ship is pleasantly overpowered. You'll need to maybe memorize some broad strategies like what weapon to use on a given stage, but it feels less rigid than TF3. Although I do love both.

wow, someone else played this... I played the PCE game, not the MSX version. They're two different games. What do you think?

The Fardraut mode is a little cheap (the final level is 'have shields or die') but having a xevious game with more than a pea-shooter is usually a plus.
