That one is pretty simple. World 6-5 and the last castle in World 8 are harder to figure out.

But kids weren't dumb then.

Fucking scumbag zoomers just want a big long cut scene with no effort required.

To this day I've never beaten that one and thus have never beaten SMB3. I hate it.

it's actually quite simple, it's just that the level design misleads the player on purpose when the answer is actually very easy: when you find the P button at the end of the level, keep walking a few steps till the end of the scroll and another door will have appeared there

Those are destructable blocks. Are you telling me that you don't have the urge to destroy every single one of them you see.
I literally destroyed every block in this room possible. I spent time there until there was no more reachable block left. And I am pretty sure so did everbody else. After all, some of them might hold a lovely secret!

This. Spent forever looking for 1-up blocks, then spent a few lives harvesting coins for lives. I thought everyone did that.

The trick is to be a dumb child with too much time on his hands. As a kid I would just randomly pull on walls for no reason out of frustration. Eventually I got fed up with not being able to figure it out so I just pulled on it and it made a sound so I kept going.

world 8 fortress-2 is way worse

Correct on the second count but you’re retarded if you think there’s anything hard to figure out about the final castle. Any difficulty there comes from the actual platforming/maneuvering, not “figuring it out.” It’s very linear.

>> No.6528603

The worst puzzle-level on SMB3 is that one ice level where you need to fly while holding a shell to find the exit. Although I think it wasn't a mandatory level to advance.
Anyway, the game gives you the cloud item to bypass levels if you can't figure them out.

Because it looks different from other objects in the game so you obviously try doing different things to it to see if something happens.

I want to believe OP is just baiting and just wants a SMB3 thread going.
To be fair, that level is a bit cryptic but nothing that you can't figure on your own.

You'd have to be brain dead not to know. You ran in to plenty of P switches running up to this point of the game.

Is there a mixup here between the last fortress and Bowser's castle? It's been a while since I played but I think I remember the fortress having a door puzzle in it, while the FINAL final level branched in some way but was not difficult to navigate through?

That one's supposed to be "averse". If you're gonna be crotchety then you should be that way about language too. Come brother, join me in protecting the word "tenet" from disappearing completely. We've got Christopher Nolan on our side now. We stand strong against the darkness.
