What's your favorite retro controller?

What's your go-to controller for emulation and the like?

Post controllers, controller mods, shitty knockoffs, and last but not least, opinions

I'm going to take all the pixels in this image and recreate it as a PNG. Wish me luck.

The novelty would be great but eh

Favorite retro? SNES.
Favorite overall? The 360 controller, which would be absolutely perfect with a better D-Pad.

I want a new (used?) N64 controller. I'm willing to do the joystick mod but I want new ones too.

Is it possible to get some that are in good condition?

Why are they different sizes if they are both 1000x800

I recently got Retroarch-Wii, and I absolutely love this. The sticks don't bother me as much as I had thought they would.

I always liked the intellivision controller ( [0,4] on OP pic). It was more comfortable to use than it looked, the 4 action buttons in the side were easy to use while manipulating the circular dpad, and it was pretty cool how games came with inserts to put over the numpad to give you a cool intuitive interface instead of making you just memorize what numbers do what (pic related)

Are there drivers for the keyboard AND the controller combined?

I think you have a better chance of seeing Jesus playing animal crossing with that thing in your house than getting PC drivers for that keyboard/controller

As far as actual retro? Satrun model 2 pad.

As far as the "go to" controller that works for PC emulation? Pic related. It's my default 360 fighting game controller and works just fine for emulation on PC.

FANTASTIC dpad. 6-button face. two shoulder bumpers and 2 analog shoulder triggers.

I am the only person on the planet who liked the Jaguar's controller. I liked the grip. Could have used more thumb buttons of course.

Can you rebind the extra two buttons so they don't conflict with LB and RB?

>> No.649948

>>649915
I don't know why everyone shifted away from having six face buttons. Four seems so limited.

>> No.650013

When I went from using a NES controller to a 3-button Genesis controller, my hands fell in love. Say what you want about the size, but the shape is perfect for my hands. The 6-button controller always felt too weird and too small by comparison. Official N64 controllers are also a perfect shape for my hands, but it comes in second place for me only because the button layout took some getting used to at first.

I never understood this. Sonic only needs 1 button.

LB and RB are repeated on the bumpers. The analog triggers however, are separate LT and RT.

I think this'd be perfect if it had shoulders.

I use a snes usb pad. It is by far the best controller, yeah better than saturn.
