What the fuck! How is it so good? I never played this back in the day but I'm having a freaking blast right now! My entry into the series was actually Wipeout HD Fury on PS3 years ago where I got hooked on the gameplay for the first time. But this? This one is even better. It plays simpler, I'll give you that but the atmosphere is off the charts! I love how all the tracks look. The art direction is on point all the way through. High resolution mode is no joke either. The image quality is significantly higher than in most other PS1 titles.

We should talk about it some and the series in general. What are you favorite tracks, ships, songs and so. I like Sampa Run, it feels like you're racing through Blade Runner. Very cool. And I enjoy the look of Qirex RD a lot.

Wipeout 3's audio-visual direction was much like a "smart future" sci-fi world. Personally I dislike it which is why Wipeout 2097 (also known as XL) is better, because the world was more dark and Bladerunner-like and the music was punchier and harder, straight up electronic dance music instead of a soundtrack score. The ships also handled better in 2097, slightly heavier but still felt like you can slice through air.
