I generally read scans of strategy guides or instruction manuals, but I don't do it often. Only if I'm stumped. Sometimes I like reading the guide for a game I'm not playing because the guides are nostalgic and comfy. Last help I needed was a wiki recently to look up if something existed because I was looking everywhere for over an hour and feeling doubtful. Confirmed it was there, so I kept looking on my own and still couldn't find it. Finally gave up and looked it up, there was an entire mechanic required to find it that I didn't even know existed and I had already beaten the game and was at 74% completion.
