It took me so long to figure out exactly how based openemu is. I was able to pair my old Wii U controller and I can play Saturn imports. Plus, every other retro console. What more is there to ask?

It works great, anon. I’ll probably start playing through some PS1 games on it while at the office. I’ll use a DS4 though as it is natively supported.

Ignore them OP, it's not their fault they're autistic virgins that swear loyalty to an OS.

Real men use either standalones or retroarch.

OpenEmu is fine. I'm glad the last update added support to PlayStation Classic controllers, because 2 USB controllers was the main selling point for me to buy that console in the first place.

I wish there was a PC version of OpenEmu desu. Emulation is one of the few areas that really needs a just-werx solution like that. Retroarch might have more features, but it's finicky and tedious to use. OpenEmu cuts the bullshit and makes it as easy as dragging and dropping a ROM into the library then clicking in twice.

>>6437131
They did? Thank fuck. I might actually get some real use out of those now.

I will never understand macfags fetish with drag&drop

I usually prefer a built in file browser for selecting ROMs (i prefer navigating to the ROM folder and clicking "Use this folder" than to ctrl+a all the roms in the folder then drag and drop them) i just wanted a quick illustration of how trivial OpenEmu makes getting into a game and "it takes 3 clicks and one drag" met that criteria.

I don't understand the point you're trying to prove. I use windows on my gaming desktop and a laptop with archlinux for work. Using a terminal doesn't make you big brain by itself.

Sure, I get it, I use launchbox which provides a similar point and click experience + htpc navigation while iI'm sitting on the couch.

>NNOOOOOOOO you can't use multiple OSes for different purposes!!!! You HAVE TO PICK ONE!!!!!!

As I said, Autistic. Virgins. And also retarded.

Emulation on a Mac is virtually identical to doing it on any other platform. I own three other machines running Windows on them as well and use these when they're needed for something I can't do on my Mac. Novel idea right?

I used a Mac for 8 years and Boxer is one of the things I miss the most. The culture of ease of use around MacOS did produce some amazing things that I wish would be more common on Windows.

What would you suggest for Win98/XP-era games? Would VirtualBox be adequate? I wanna play Doom, Quake 2 & 3, Unreal Tournament...
