After 22 years of never bothering with a serious playthrough, I got 120 stars on Mario 64, using that fancy new PC-port.Now I'm really in the mood for similar games and thought I'd start with another game I never 100%. Does it emulate well? I'm totally out of the loop when it comes to N64-emulation. What other games should I check out?

Word of warning, no 3D platformer of that era controls as well as Mario 64. Banjo-Kazooie was one of my favorite games growing up but I went back to it recently and was a little surprised at how stiff and slow Banjo feels compared to Mario. The basic fun of just moving around isn't there.

Banjo is way different than Mario 64. It's focus is way less on fast platforming and more-so on collecting things and solving puzzles.

This. Ape Escape is an amazing game. The only problem it has is the awkward jump button location, which you'll get use to fast. Damn. Now I kinda want to play it.
